About xCodiq
I'm Elmar, a self-taught software engineer who started coding in late 2018 by learning Java and the Bukkit API to create my first Minecraft plugin. Now fluent in Java, Python, C/C++, and several other languages, I've been working independently since 2021, servicing clients across the world.
Before founding xCodiq in August 2023, I served as CTO at Blocky, LLC for over two years — responsible for all software and systems across their Minecraft servers and Discord bots, including maintaining TeamCity, Nexus Sonatype, and their GitHub organization. I also led software engineering at MelonSMP, designing plugins, bots, and a custom CI/CD pipeline for the development team.
Today, xCodiq takes on projects ranging from Minecraft plugins and Discord bots to infrastructure automation and IoT/embedded systems. Clean code, reliable deployments, and honest communication — that's how every project gets done.
